God Help Us
Disappointed this morning...but life goes on and God is in control...but
I'm afraid the road to ruin just got a little shorter and narrower...my
generation will be okay...the one after not so much...but who I really
worry for is my grandson (and grandchildren yet to come). Our freedoms
are being taken from us and replaced with constraints...and, eventually,
people won't remember how it used to be...and, before long, saying the
name of God or Jesus (but probably not Allah) will be banned entirely
from any public discourse...we have become the entitlement
generation(s)...why work if the government will pay you to sit on your
ass? And, for the people who do work their asses off, why work harder if
the government is just going to take more and more? I don't think most
of this country even knew about the horror of Benghazi...four Americans
died and we were lied to about it all...our military will become weaker
and weaker...and our bed bigger because we have to make room for Iran to
be in it with us...and Israel, oh, Israel...I am so, so sorry...

Drivel
I will never understand, no matter where you stand on the political
spectrum, why this is okay with some people -- and why there is so much
silence -- especially from women's groups who ought to come out swinging
no matter who -- liberal or conservative
-- is on the receiving end of such an attack. Any discussion of a "war
on women" (which, in full disclosure, I've never experienced) should
also include this type of discourteous, disrespectful drivel.

Enough
I'm pretty well sick of this but...I love Chick-Fil-A...I also love
another local restaurant which is run by people who are not of my same
faith and who have differing ideas and opinions. I guess, since they
hold even stronger beliefs against same-sex marriage, they ought to be
boycotted, too? Right? Wouldn't that be the politically correct thing to
do?
Personally, I really don't have an issue with
anybody getting married, as long as it's between consenting adults -- I
think we have a lot bigger problems in our country than who marries who
-- but I will defend Dan Cathy's (or anyone's) right to state his
beliefs, especially as it has nothing to do with whom Chick-Fil-A hires
or serves.
What you believe is up to you so if you don't like what he had to say, then go somewhere else. Easy as lemon pie.
And more chicken for me.
And, don't forget that each Chick-Fil-A restaurant is operated by an individual who is trying to make a living. So, boycott all you want but just remember who you might actually be hurting.
