I don't know why I take such a delight in cleaning up my blog when I don't derive any

satisfaction from any other kind of cleaning. But, every once in awhile, my blog just bugs me and I have to do something. Today was one of those days.
I just don't like blogs which are "too busy". I have no control of how other people set up their blogs but I prefer a spartan kind of arrangement. Too many columns, too many lists and, God forbid,
music, and I just tune out (which is why I keep the

sound
off on my computer most of the time -- I only turn it on when I need it). Anyway, between all the blogs I follow and the different history sites which I love, there was just too much going on to suit me. I figure when your own blog bugs you, it's time to do something about it.
So, now, you can go to a separate
post (look under "
Go here for") which contains all of my

lists. I don't know if old posts eventually disappear but, at the rate I'm going, it ought to be a long time before that happens -- and I have all my links tucked away somewhere else, anyway, just in case.
So, if there's something you are looking for that you can't find, just ask me. I might be able to find it.
"Might be able to find it?" :D
ReplyDeleteI commend you for having enough to clutter up a blog. All my clutter are those 30-odd posts I never have finalized.
BTW, I'm a minimalist myself, so I appreciate the Spartan look. It doesn't mess with my little brain. LOL!
Yeah, the older I get, the less chaos I want around me -- and that includes this blog. And, on other blogs, I just like to be able to find what I'm looking for nice and easy. To be fair, though, there are some blogs which have a lot on them but are easy to navigate.
ReplyDeleteBzirk, where is your blog?
Oh, it's on blogspot, but I've only posted a few things. However, I've written a ton of other things -- just not posted them.I'm trying to find my voice. At some point I guess I need to just really jump in.
ReplyDeleteYou must have it set to private? I don't see it listed on your profile.
