No, it's not my birthday and, even if it was, my age wouldn't have either of those numbers in them -- not this next one, anyway.
Forty-one is the number of credits I now have at Paperbackswap. I've probably had over 50 in total but I've requested a few books and used some of the credits up already -- I've been hoarding the rest, waiting for some of my wishlist books to pop up (a couple have, some probably never will).
So, tell me, would you use your credits immediately? Or would you save them for books you really want? Would you choose all kinds of books just because you had the chance to try something new? Or would you stay within your favorite genre(s)?
And, would you try out a book which someone else highly recommends -- even if it's not your favorite type of book?
So, what would you recommend?

OMG - how in the world did you get so many credits??!! With that many, you can do both - try some books you might not otherwise (especially if they are on people's wishlists - if you don't like them you can always swap them back into the system and get your credit back!). I had 21 credits at the beginning of the year - last week I had zero. My wishlist books go in spurts. I won't have any come up for a while and then I'll get 4 or 5 at a time!
ReplyDeleteI've been very miserly with my credits -- I have so many books already on my TBR pile that I have a hard time requesting books that I may not ever read -- so I'm very picky. Today, though, I let loose and ordered five books -- and the other day, I requested three or so -- now I'm down to 37 credits!! In the meantime, I had a couple requested from me so that's why I still have so many!
ReplyDeleteI wish some of my wishlist books would become available -- most, I'm way down on the list but I have several where I'm actually number one or two.
What's your username on Paperbackswap -- I'll check out what you have. I'm LIS859.
