McCain/Palin

John McCain has selected Sarah Palin (Governor of Alaska) as his running mate. I'm pretty happy with that choice even though I know very little about her. I like the fact that he chose a woman and not some old male fart (the president being an old fart is enough -- but, yeah, I'm voting for him, anyway). Folks complaining about McCain's age are the same ones who'll be whining when they are his age -- and still productive -- but no one will give them the time of day. Another good thing -- Sarah Palin is not a Washington "insider" -- sometimes I think we'd be better off if the president wasn't allowed to be a member of the House or Senate. So, maybe this isn't as historic as Obama's run but it's still pretty damn historic -- but I'm sure the media will do its best to drown that out, as they've already tried to drown out McCain -- and even Hillary. My Lord, never thought I'd see the day when I'd feel bad for Hillary but here that day is. I don't care what the Clinton's have said publicly -- they're pissed. I don't blame them. They've been pretty well dissed by all of their rabid supporters (the Kennedy's, Hollywood) from a few years ago. Well, time to go find a McCain/Palin sticker for my car.

  1. We may have to agree to disagree on this subject. Although I was happy to see McCain step out of his comfort zone and choose a woman, I'm still afraid he will give us 4 more years of failed Bush policies.

  2. Well, I don't agree with everything the Bush admin did -- but, then again, I'll never agree with everything anybody does -- so I'm just going to pray that God will lead whoever is in office.
